Coach Amodu Shaibu on time manages of the Nigerian Super Eagles and Technical Director of the NFF is dead.
Amodu died in Benin there days after the death of former Super Eagles Captain and Coach, Stephen Keshi, who also died in Benin.
Reports have it that Shaibu Amodu complained of chest pains on Friday night and died in his sleep.
Amodu Shuaibu who died in Benin at fifty eight years has manages a number of club sides in Nigeria, such as BCC Lions, El-Kanemi Warriors, and Shooting Stars; he also managed Orlando Pirates in South Africa.
The Edo born football tactician had coached the national team more than four different occasions.
Amodu first managed the Super Eagles in 1994.
In April 2001 Amodu was appointed coach of the Super Eagles and was sacked in February 2002.
However in April 2008 he was reappointed Coach of the Super Eagles for the second time and sacked again in February 2010.
Amodu was appointed technical director of Nigeria’s national teams in May 2013.
After Stephen Keshi in 2014 he was re-appointed for the fifth time to manage the Super Eagle.
Before Sunday Oliseh appointment agin in 2015 Amodu took over the Eagles temporarily.
At Africa Cup of Nations in Mali in 2002 the late ex Super Eagles coach, Amodu worked with Stephen Keshi as Super Eagles head coach and assistant coach.
